Cologne sits on the river Rhine in the west of Germany. Its cathedral has been declined as a World Heritage Site and is a Gothic church that took six hundred years to finish having been started in the middle of the thirteenth century. It is reputedly the burial site of the three Magi. The city has twelve Romanesque churches that have parts of original Roman construction. Eau de Cologne, the famous perfumed water, hails from this city having been invented in Farina House, now a perfume museum.
